Our Story

Aura Clay® was born from one simple frustration:
Why is it so hard to make air-dry clay look like real food? And why are fine details so difficult to achieve with traditional air-dry clay when making figures?

Most clays were too dry, too matte, too crumbly, or hard to color properly. Clay artists spent hours mixing, texturing, testing, and hoping for realistic results… only to end up with something that still didn’t quite look real, or took way too much time.

So we went searching for a better air-dry clay — and we found it in Japan.

Japanese clay artists had perfected something truly unique: a soft, elastic, ultra-smooth clay that looks and behaves like real chocolate, ice cream, dough, or marshmallow while you sculpt it. We brought it home, refined the colors, and developed Aura Clay® — the secret ingredient for hyper-realistic creations.
