🛠 Step-by-step instructions
-
Coloring Foam Clay:
Take a golf ball-sized amount of air-dry foam clay, mix in a drop of yellow acrylic paint, and knead it well. If the clay is too dry, add a little water. - Tip: This is a great air-drying clay idea for beginners, as the clay is easy to color.
-
Shape the macaron halves:
Divide the clay into two equal pieces, form balls, and flatten them with the acrylic blocks. This creates the two "macaron feet". -
Design macaron structure:
Using a texture tool or pointed tweezers, carefully work in the typical macaron lip. Work quickly, as the clay dries in the air. -
Modeling snitch patterns:
Roll thin "snakes" from clay and place them in semicircles on the macaron halves to represent the decorative lines of the snitch. Secure with wood glue. -
Making wings:
Form two drops from leftover clay, flatten them, and use a needle to scratch fine lines into them so that they look like small wings. - This is a particularly creative air-drying clay idea if you want to create your own shapes.
-
Incorporate filling:
Mix Air-Dry Gourmet Clay (Marshmallow version!) or soft clay with water to form a cream, place between the macaron halves and press together lightly. -
Decorate:
If desired, small rhinestones can be placed on the "cream" using wood glue to create a glittering effect. -
Paint gold details:
Once dry, paint the wings with gold paint to perfect the authentic snitch look. -
Assembly:
Attach the wings to the snitch with a piece of wire, insert an eyelet and fix it with jewelry glue. -
Finish:
Connect the eyelet with a short chain and a keyring – and your individual Golden Snitch keyring is ready!
