Why customers love Aura Clay® Resin Clay
Resin Clays by Aura Clay® are the first choice for fans of Japanese kawaii culture, miniature food artists, DIY creators, hobby crafters, and small creative businesses that value precision, realism, and reliable results. Beginners also appreciate its easy handling and highly controllable workability.
Many conventional clays have unsuitable textures that require time-consuming texturing and tedious color mixing to achieve realistic results. This often leads to frustration, wasted time, and inconsistent outcomes.
Our Resin Clays solve these issues with pre-colored accuracy, a pre-textured, detail-retaining structure, and consistent quality — no baking required.
This allows our customers to create realistic food miniatures with full confidence, control, and a professional finish.
Aura Clay® gives you the right material to achieve precise, clean, and realistic creations — so you feel confident while working, well equipped, and proud of your results.
Why Aura Clay® is unique
Aura Clay® stands for exceptional Japanese quality and is unique even within Japan. Our goal is to empower artists to create hyper-realistic miniature food and charms with confidence and ease using our air-dry clay.
No stress when rolling. No cracks during drying. No deformation of your creations.
Just consistent, hyper-realistic results — every single time.
Tips & Tricks
How to Slow Down Drying of Air-Dry Clay While Sculpting
Air-Dry Clay starts drying once you take it out of the sealed package. The humidity and warmth of the environment you are working in, as well as your hands, significantly affect the drying time of your clay piece.
To ensure that your Air-Dry Clay stays pliable while sculpting, make sure to keep a small bowl of water or a spray bottle nearby. Dip your fingertips in a small amount of water whenever you feel like the clay might be drying out too fast. Alternatively, you can lightly spray larger pieces of clay with a tiny bit of water. You can always add more water if needed—go little by little.
If you have dry hands, we also recommend applying hand cream before sculpting. This helps your Air-Dry Clay stay flexible and stretchy while you are working with it.
Is your Air-Dry Clay drying out too fast?
If you are working on multiple pieces of Air-Dry Clay at the same time, we recommend storing them between two sheets of moist (not wet!) paper towels. Simply place your piece on one moist paper towel and cover it with another. This “sandwich method” helps preserve the elasticity of unfinished pieces while you work on another one. When you are ready to assemble your pieces or continue working on them, just remove them from the paper towels.
Do you have trouble attaching Air-Dry Clay pieces to each other?
No problem! Simply add a tiny dab of transparent, fast-drying wood or craft glue to your pieces before sticking them together. How to Slow Down Drying of Air-Dry Clay While Sculpting

How to store Air-Dry Clay?
To keep your air-dry clay usable for as long as possible, always store it as airtight as you can. After use, place the Resin Clay back into the resealable pouch, close it securely, and then store it inside an airtight container.
Pro tip: Add a slightly damp paper towel to the airtight container. This helps keep your Resin Clay fresh for many months without drying out. Make sure to replace the towel regularly and disinfect the container with alcohol to prevent germs from forming.
How long does it take for Air-Dry Clay to dry?
Within the first few hours after modeling, you can safely touch your Resin Clay piece with care. However, to ensure your creation is fully cured all the way through, allow it to dry for 7 days. After that, your piece can be sanded, painted, or sealed without any issues.
